Data from the CBO shows that PBM reform

has the potential to save taxpayers

5 BILLION DOLLARS.

The Pharmacists Fight Back Act (H.R.9096) is currently the most comprehensive pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reform legislation ever introduced at the federal level.

This legislation prohibits large PBMs from manipulating drug prices and restricting network access and patient choice in federal healthcare plans. It also protects pharmacies, patients, and taxpayers from other unfair PBM practices. While there are now several bills that have been introduced at the federal level that together focus on several facets of PBM abuse, this is currently the ONLY bill that specifically addresses reimbursements from PBMs to pharmacies (in the words of fellow pharmacy advocate and PUTT President, Deb Keaveny, “The other bills have merit; this one shines!”).
